Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Just wanted to wish those celebrating St. Patrick's Day to have
a wee bit of luck and happiness!

I just love this vintage postcard, so sweet!

Also I wanted to share my Patty Day saying I put on my chalk board in the dining room!  It is for all of you!
Having a chalk board is great and I know so many of you have worked with the chalk board paint, if you have not, you must try it, it is addicting!

Now I will leave you with a picture of the shamrock, which is really a 3 leaf clover, many do a 4 leaf, which  is hard to find.
If you do, that means luck!

Vintage Typewriter Table Redo-- Just My Type!!

I use to type 60 words per minute!
                           Sound familiar to anyone!

This is a typewriter table so why
                            not stencil letters and numbers?

This table sold so quickly
I really did not get to
take the pictures I wanted!

Below is the only Before I have
it was actually used in our home
at one time.
see it?
Yes, we had a slot machine on that
typing table in our home, when we lived
in Idaho!
My granddaughter actually got all
777's and the darn machine would not
stop ringing and the lights were flashing
on top!
There was not enough money to pay her
off??  And at 6 years old she was waiting
for the coins with bucket in hand!!

There was no slot mechanic in site??
We unplugged the machine, but as soon
as we plugged it in, all the bells rang and lights
flashed!  Days later my husband did figured it out
and the play is on!

WORKING ON iT!   Yes this is in progress, and yes I was working
in the house, too cold in the garage!  No one home so I did it all inside :)
First attempt, I painted the top, not a good idea with semi-gloss
maroon, this would not wear well, chips off to easy.
So I scraped it off sanded and painted it with flat white!

Thanks for looking, wished I would have kept this one!

A Reunion 50 Years in the Making

A Reunion 50 Years in the Making

Hello, everyone!  This link above is the reason I have been busy and the Shabby Chic Work will continue soon!  When the link goes to KOLO News Reno, Nevada, it takes a bit for the Video to load.

I am so very happy for my Husband and we are enjoying our new Daughter and Grandson, which adds to the already Wonderful 2 Daughters and 5 Grandchildren we have!  We are Blessed!

We were quite surprised to have the local news cover our story, how grand of them!
