Shabby Vintage Buffet or Cadenza Redo in Aqua and Black

Six Feet of Wonderful Storage
Buffet - Cadenza- Side Table
This redo was fun bring an ugly unwanted piece to a handsome wanted  Six foot long Side Table, which has 7 drawers and 2 shelves!
The young couple that bought it will put their TV on the wall above, and will store kids items inside!  Great idea!  .

Glass Knobs and 2 Wood appliques gave it a new look

The Before
And now for a Shabby Surprise Pic
Blue Jay taking a peanut
from my feeder in Idaho, Pic taken 4 years ago.  If there were no peanuts, they would squawk away to let you know..
If you like blue jays, unsalted peanuts in the shell will bring them.

Vintage Ball Mason Jar DIY

I love the Vintage MASON Jars as others and have filled them with various items, especially sewing goodies.
To be different
I put broken glass, yes Some Vintage and Some Just the colors I like stacked into my favorite Jar.  Just take a rubber mallet, wear gloves and break away glass.  I keep mine in the kitchen window, but anywhere light comes through is good.  It makes me smile and lightens the day, It is amazing how simple things give pleasure.
This cap is original with a glass closure
piece under the top that says Presto, with a patent #
Never seen one before!
Taking some shots outside, it is hard to capture the true glass colors that shine through.
It truly is pretty in person!

I looked for months for a pretty glass bottle to fill with colored glass then thought "Vintage Mason Jar' Perfect for my kitchen window.

Surprise!

Oh, this is Chip my Daughter's Dog
He is so Sweet!  My Daughter captured this photo, sent it by phone to me as I was waiting for my flight
home from my visit,  saying "Chip misses You"   Chip loves his Wilson (tennis ball that I introduced to him when he was a puppy).  He waits every morning for his Wilson to be tossed into the Swimming Pool to retrieve. Might I add tossed again and again!  Which I did for 3 weeks, happily, who could resist those eyes?  "I love Chipper"

Shabby Vintage Vanity and Stool Redo

Vanity with Love and Dreams

                                                                 "Gloria"
This vanity evolved as I went, I only knew I wanted to use Linen White and do some distressing.

The stool I found at GW after finishing the vanity.
I painted the base white and covered the top in drop cloth, then
added a white cotton skirt ( DIY TIP) the white stool skirt is from a bed ruffle skirt!
Easy and perfect with the eyelet's on the bottom)
then (DIY TIP) I added a polyester ruffle from a skirt I purchased
and thought I would wear, now Gloria has it!

I painted the wood carving legs and upper mirror spindle's brown
hated to cover up those details

Love the curves!

I even lined the drawers with sheet music, need to add THAT
Photo!

I hated to part with this lovely piano sheet music
1929 "When my Dreams Come True" by Irving Berlin
and Love "Your Spell is Everywhere" sung by
Gloria Swanson
Isn't she beautiful? that is her
Women where so soft looking then!
WELL, anyway I know I would never take that
sweet of a picture.

update!!
Forgot to put this picture in of the sheet music
that I lined the drawers with!

I did take a lot of pictures, even have more, could not stop!
