Ripped and Torn Redo Before and After

Wow, this little vintage end table was perfect to buy and save!  Some veneer was missing, and the leather top was torn, but yes I could do something!!!

I removed all the leather and one layer of veneer, a lot of delicate scraping to protect the surface underneath!  I distressed the piece with white and added a gold patina on top.  The table top was decoupaged with vintage postcards and travel paper and I am so happy to give this vintage end table on wheels with a drawer a new life, she will travel on!!!!

I totally love this! I have a small table with the leather middle...I've painted it but never knew what to do with the top because of the leather. Thanks for sharing your great project!

I love it! Isn't it fun to decoupage? And so forgiving of all kinds of dents and dings! That paper is awesome too...I used that same paper to cover a huge black table in Florida that needed an intervention. Your table turned out great. The result is so much better than the original piece. I had been so stumped on what to do with my dining table. The inspiration hit when I was shopping Home Goods. You can see that similar transformation here. http://cottagebeachhouse.blogspot.com/2011/04/cottage-beach-house-table-intervention.html
