Dresser redo in Blue "Levi"

I call this beauty "Levi" it still amazes me
how the AFTER comes out!

See the BEFORE what I mean!

Of course I must show more

I used Behr paint and General Finishes gel stain, and of course gold spay paint for the hardware.

Thanks for the visit and take care,
Marilyn

French Provincial Dresser done in Aqua!

When I see this style, I want to redo the piece and give it a new life!  I so remember and loved the French Provincial Bedroom Sets as a young child.

Here she is:

Love the legs, and lucky on all original hardware!

I love how it came out.  Another piece with a few repairs, some paint and glaze and she is renewed.  This is very pleasing work for me!

Take care, Marilyn

Barn Red Dresser Redo and a Fall Hello!

         HELLO  To FALL!

I am BACK, and Ready to share some projects that I am behind on posting.  Sometimes life takes a turn, where posting takes a back seat in your Drive of all that you love to do!

I did this dresser a while back, love the color, and with a dresser, you can use it so many ways, this one was used for a TV Cadenza!  It was done for a dear young couple that saw it unfinished, and could see the possibilities!

She was done in red, distressed with a black patina.

This Dresser was in good shape and with it being 7 foot long and 9 dovetail drawers, it is a perfect redo!

Wonderful original knobs were done in black.

I wish I could stage my finished pieces, but I am just lucky enough to move them around in the garage for redo!

Thank you for visiting and take care,

Marilyn

Ugly to Unique Keeper Buffet

This once ugly piece, took several months working on the redo, even more time to get this heavy piece in the house.  78 inches long and on wheels.  She is perfect in our foyer and located right across from the formal dining room.

BEFORE

The middle drawer was beyond repair for me, so I added a shelf for large serving platters.

More AFTER

This piece was big and ugly, but I saw details and a future, not knowing at the time, I would keep it for myself.

This was last Xmas 2013 displaying my Santa items!

Now to work on doing my post for 2014 Xmas Décor. You will see this piece again, but several new DIY Christmas items that I did manage to finish for this year.  Tis the season to be busy and jolly!

Wishing all a great Holiday Season,
Marilyn

Blue Dresser Redo

Hello, I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!  It is much too hot to paint now, but I have completed enough redo's before the garage reached 100 degrees!
I am way behind on posting, i do think of sharing but can't seem to find the time.  Just don't know how all you great bloggers do it?

This dresser was clean and the drawers were dovetail and so much storage.  I felt this one would be
perfect for a baby changer dresser.  I rarely do blue, but I had the white porcelain knobs with a blue circle on them, so that was my inspiration!

Love the drawer dividers and I did paint the sides of drawers too!

What do you think about these knobs?

Vintage legs, love good legs!

Now I have a posting done, more to do soon, thanks for stopping by,
                                              Marilyn
